1. Location of business. Boulder County business locations are designated as either Outer Suburban (Zone A) or High Transit Center (Zone B), or Major Transit Center (Zone C) View the 2022 EcoPass map and pricing chart to determine which pricing zone your business falls within. All areas of Boulder County not covered in this map are in pricing zone A. This includes the cities of Longmont, Lyons, Nederland, Erie and Eldora.

2. Employee Count. Total number of full-time (FT) employees or total number of full- and part-time (PT) employees. An EcoPass contract is based on total number of employees (full-time or a combination of full- and part-time employees) on payroll and not dependent on the total number of employees who will use the EcoPass.

GO Boulder/City of Boulder creates and promotes "Great Options" in transportation to increase the travel choices
available to our community. Boulder East is a local non-profit transportation management organization (TMO) working to enhance travel in and around Boulder.

GO Boulder and Boulder Transportation Connections offer up to 50% reimbursement of a company’s first year EcoPass contract and 25% reimbursement of a second year contract.
For businesses with 1-10 employees, reimbursement of $60 per employee will be provided for year one and $30 per employee for year two. If the EcoPass contract is over $10,000, the reimbursement will be for three years of 25%.

To receive these reimbursements, an employee on staff is required to become a participant of the Employee Transportation Coordinator network. In addition, your company could be required to distribute a before/after transportation survey to employees including some type of EcoPass promotion.

For more information, eligibility or questions about this reimbursement, contact Boulder Transportation Connections via e-mail at or email Tracy Foster.

This EcoPass reimbursement program is budget dependent and subject to change based on fiscal constraints. Receipt of a year one rebate does not guarantee that a year two rebate will be available should budget conditions deteriorate.

If your business is located outside of the city of Boulder, Boulder County is also currently offering a multi-year EcoPass discount (60% off of the first year's contract price, 40% off of the second year's contract price) to all businesses and neighborhoods signing up for their initial EcoPass contract. For more information contact Alex Hyde-Wright, Senior Transportation Planner at 303.441.4910 or

RTD, in partnership with GO Boulder, also offers a bus pass program especially for neighborhoods called the Neighborhood Eco (NECO) Pass.
